Art hits the streets

THE Parque de España square in Fuengirola held its first weekend of outdoor painting.

Art school students, members of painters’ associations and local artists gathered on a sunny Sunday to paint and display art for passers-by to enjoy.

Organised by the local council, the initiative will be held every Sunday. The idea came when painters asked for a street spot to exhibit their paintings, the town hall said.
