SHINE ON: The lightning of the street light decorations by Mayor Angeles Muñoz (centre), officially started Christmas in Marbella.
THE Christmas party has officially started in Marbella as the street lights were lit.
And the programme of events means there is plenty to do.
On Wednesday, a Children’s Christmas Cards exhibition opened in the San Pedro de Alcantara Cultural Centre.
On Thursday, several events marked Constitution Day. There was a concert by the Municipal Band at the Leisure Port, a lunch for the elderly at the Encarna Cantero Centre and the El Mundo Magico show for all the family on at the Marbella Congress Centre.
Today there will be a nativity scene will be exhibited at the Nueva Andalucia centre for the elderly, and a choir will sing at the Miraflores elderly centre from 6pm.
Saturday will see another concert by the Municipal Band at Plaza de la Iglesia in San Pedro, at noon. And alongside that there will be a Christmas market with stalls and activities for the children running all day long.
On Sunday, a Christmas traditional sweets contest will be held at the elderly centre in San Pedro, 5pm.
