HEAVENS OPEN: Torrents of storm water made many Huercal-Overa roads impassable.
A MONTH since the storms badly damaged the A-350 road connecting Pulpi and Huercal-Overa, traders and local business associations are angry that the link is taking so long to repair.
The usual 22 km distance between both towns became 46 kilometres due to traffic diversions, meaning extra travelling costs as well as a longer journey to Huercal-Overa’s Inmaculada Hospital. The situation was described as “outrageous” by the Pulpi Businessmen and Traders Association (ACEPUL), who called on the authorities to take urgent measures to restore the road.
