HAPPY DAY: Children dressed in local folk costumes played cheerfully in a sunny day.
MORE than 1,200 people took part in Alfaz del Pi’s festival. The town marked the Valencia Regional Day with folk dances, but mainly with sport activities.
The public multi-sports centre was crowded with locals, who had more than 30 sports events running all day long: from bicycle routes to swimming contests and scuba diving immersions at the Pau Gasol Pavillion, as well as outdoor games like chess, paddle, cricket and many more.
