ONE of Madrid’s most famous ‘churrerias’ , Chocolateria San Gines, has opened its first branch in China.
Clients in Shanghai can now sample the fried strips of dough dipped into hot chocolate that are typical breakfast or teatime fare in Spain. With three churrerias in Japan and another in Colombia, owner Pedro Trapote now hopes to expand throughout China.
