Several people are suspected of provoking fires

SEVERAL people have been identified as possible suspects of the fires that have taken place in several scrubland areas in Velez Malaga. According to Citizen Safety councillor, Antonio Arrieta, there are “several suspects, although their guilt can not yet be determined” and that “the fact that they have all happened in the same area makes us suspect that the fires were intentional”. However, the suspects have to either be caught red-handed or more evidence has to come up to truly be able to accuse someone. 

The councillor also pointed out that no one has been harmed, nor any personal property has been damaged in the fires, noting that the fire department is working very efficiently.
