ALTEA’S Traffic Department is now restricting circulation in the old town as it does every year for the summer season, meaning that from now until September the old town will have restrictions on traffic entry between the hours of 7pm-3am.
As well as limiting access during these hours parking restrictions are also being enforced in the areas concerned, which are basically on and around the church square at the top of the town. Anyone entering Altea by car during the afternoons, should be sure not to leave their car in a restricted area, as they risk it being towed away once the 7pm watershed comes into effect. The affected streets are signposted and do extend down beyond the old town itself, so drivers should ensure that they are entitled to leave their car where it is parked.
