British family wins all expenses paid holiday

A BRITISH family was the winner of an all expenses holiday to the Marina Alta coastal resort of Teulada/Moraira.

Richard Kelly and his family will arrive this Saturday and stay for a eight days.

They were one of seven European families who were competing the holiday courtesy of the Teulada/Moraira Board of Development and Tourism.

They will enjoy a programme of various activities including fishing, diving and mountain walks, combined with sampling the more leisurely attractions of local gastronomy, Spanish wines, good music and just lounging around on the beach.

All that will be asked of them is to enjoy their vacation and record their thoughts on a daily video blog as a podcast through social networks.

The web based competition attracted more than 132 families from France, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Switzerland, Egypt, Spain and the UK and registered more than 230,000 hits.

The seven finalists represent the UK, Belgium, Egypt and Spain.

“The results of the four week campaign far exceeded all expectations”, said the Councillor for Tourism Joan Antoni Bertomeu.
