THE number of items purchased on instalments and returned due to lack of payment in the Balearics increased by 5.94 per cent in April compared to the same month last year. 

This contrasts with the inter-annual decrease of 7.2 and 12 per cent in February and March respectively, according to data from the National Statistics Institute.
