THE Junta de Andalucia has rejected plans for a golf course in Salobreña.
The golf course was planned in an area known as Los Palmares, between Salobreña and Molvizar, and is amongst eight in Andalucia which have been rejected.
The reason they have been rejected is because they do not meet the environmental and territorial parameters to be considered of interest to tourism, which would allow for houses to be built surrounding the course.
The promoters can still appeal the decision.
The plans for the golf club included two parks, houses, a car park, club house and two hotels.
