EXPAT girl Molly Houlihan has entered and been selected as a competitor for the renowned Miss London 2012 competition held by Celebrity Publicity and UK Models Folios.

Molly who is originally from Twickenham in West London harbours hopes of winning the title in March at London’s Café de Paris, and consequently a place in the Miss England National final.

Moving to Spain when she was eight years old, Molly grew up in Arboleas (Almeria), she attended school in Spain for eight years.

Molly says moving to Spain has “completely changed me as a person, adapting to their culture and experiencing a different way of living really opened my eyes to how different lives can be led”.

Although Molly moved back to England as she felt “there were more opportunities regarding the career path I want to follow”, she stays true to her childhood home and says she is “always going to come back to Spain as that’s where I was brought up” and jokes “lets face it, it’s a lot better weather wise!”

As part of Molly´s campaign she hopes to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charities, which this year the judges have decided are Deloitte National Charities – Cancer Research, Children with Cancer and Help for Heroes, along with the Thai Children´s Trust. Over the last three years of the competition contestants have raised above £200,000 for various charities.
