CAR sales in Malaga province are on the rise, with more than 2,820 registered in January and February, according to the Car Dealership Federation of Associations.
This is 1.04 per cent more than the same period last year, causing a prudent optimism amongst dealers.
In February alone, registrations were up by 9.2 per cent to 1,474 vehicles, most of which (more than 1,000) were sold to private owners, a rise of 17 per cent compared to last year.
Although car salesmen report that they only see an average of four new clients per day, compared to the 18 of 2007, they are hopeful that sales will continue to improve in the coming months.
