FUND-RAISING: David Hay (Mana del Cielo Delicatessen) selling pink ribbons for the Spanish Cancer Association.
LOCAL businesses in Mojacar are selling one metre long pink charity ribbons for €1.
On world cancer day, this Saturday February 4, people are invited to come to the seafront with their ribbons. The Spanish cancer association (AECC) aims for people to tie together a total of 10,000 metres and form “the ribbon for life”.
The ribbon will then be donated to ASPRODALBA for people with disabilities to use in arts and crafts activities.
The event will take place at 12.30 on the Mojacar promenade (Paseo Maritimo 187) opposite the Indasol office and Ottocentro Restaurant, near Cueva del Lobo.
There will be craft stalls, and paella for €1.
To book a place for a stall or for more information about the pink ribbon event: call 616 424 555.
