A MAN, 71, from Villarrobledo – a town located between Alicante and Madrid – has been convicted of sexually abusing a girl.
He was sentenced to 8 years by Albacete Provincial Court.
He made friends with the child when she was six or seven, and on several occasions until she was 10, took her on “walks” to secluded areas where he would buy her treats in exchange for her performing sexual acts.
Although he denied this in court, witnesses claimed to have seen them together.
He has been on remand since October 2010 and has been ordered to pay the victim €50,000 in compensation.
