Man in prison for death of newborn in Porzuna, Ciudad Real

A MAN was arrested in Porzuna, Ciudad Real for his alleged involvement in the death of a newborn baby. The arrest came after the baby’s mother went to the local health centre with a severe haemorrhage and later died.

The Guardia Civil went to her home and found the baby’s body, which showed signs of violence. They arrested the woman’s partner, aged 48, who was remanded to prison without bail. He is provisionally charged with manslaughter.
