Boats belonging to the Guardia Civil and Gibraltar Police collided in Spanish waters chasing alleged drugs smugglers.
Three members of the Gibraltar crew were injured in the accident and were rescued by Spanish Guardia Civil.
Both vessels were involved in a joint chase to stop a dingy which was supposedly carrying drugs when the collision happened in the Algeciras Bay waters, according to Spanish newspaper, El Mundo.
The 3 members of crew from the Gibraltar Police have been taken to Punta de Europa Hospital in Algeciras.
