All set for Torrevieja Tapas Route

ONE OF Torrevieja’s most successful innovations is the Tapas Route, which is run twice a year around the city centre.

This November features the fifth Tapas Trail/Route which be held from will be held from 17 to 27 November 2011, Thursday to Sunday, 12.00 hours to 16.30 and from 19.30 to 23.00 hours inclusive.

As in the previous edition, there are several awards for the public vote on about the participating establishments which are:

A. Award for Best Typical Torrevejense Tapa chosen by the public.

B. Award for Best Innovative Tapa chosen by the public

C. Award for Best Typical Torrevejense Tapa chosen from the results of voting from the CDT professional jury of Torrevieja.

D. Award for Best Innovative Tapa from the same jury.

There are also prizes for those who cast their votes to encourage further participation in the scheme. The initiative, organized by the Torrevieja City Council through its Municipal Agency of Tourism (Tourism Torrevieja), with the collaboration of various councils and institutions without whom this route would not reach the levels of success and quality achieved in previous editions.
