NATIONAL POLICE arrested a 40-year-old man in Granada after he had spent several months staying at local hotels which he left without paying.
He would stay for several days and then leave without paying the bill, or providing a credit card with no funds. The hotels he stayed at cost around €50 per night and he ran up a debt of €1,500 in six of them.
He was caught when he intended to leave one of the hotels as police knew his identity and were watching out for the next time he checked in. He has been charged with fraud.
