Hello Connie,

We are in the process of having a sort-through of all our belongings, and have things that could be sold as they’re too good to throw away.

We were wondering if you could suggest an animal charity (preferably dogs as we have two abandoned ones) who maybe could either use them or sell them. We live near San Pedro and would be happy to take them to wherever they´re needed.

Well done with your column, I always read it.

Many thanks, Helen Wright

Hi,

Why not try ADANA they are always grateful.

Best to you.

Connie

Dear Connie

My dog has suddenly started scratching/nibbling/chewing after she settles down to sleep, she is quiet for the first hour or so but then she starts and does not stop for several hours. She does not do this in the daytime.

She has regular flea and worm treatments and her bed is washed and sprayed frequently. I have checked her coat and skin and can find no trace of any parasites, cuts or infections.

She has long walks every day and is fed properly and looks healthy and seems happy enough. She is approximately 6/7 years old.

Regards, Patricia

Dear Patricia

Dogs usually do this due to allergies due simply to the wrong diet.

I suggest you speak with your vet and get your dog on the correct food. I know it is the food but sprays could also hinder a dog

Let me know what the vet says.

Best wishes,

Connie
