THE Partido Popular, PSOE and Izquierda Unida in Fuengirola have joined forces to demand improved access for the disabled at three local train stations.
The three parties approved a motion at the last plenary meeting to demand that the Ministry of Public Works, Renfe and the Junta de Andalucia Council for Public Works and Housing carry out much-needed changes to improve access for the disabled to the Torreblanca, Carvajal and Los Boliches stops.
The motion was presented by IU, and joins requests made by other parties over the past years.
Despite being one of the most profitable train routes in Spain, the one between Malaga and Fuengirola needs several improvements, some of which have been waiting for years, including improved access to the station in Torremolinos and the repair of the escalators at Arroyo de la Miel.
