TWO people were arrested in Spain in a massive international police operation against payment card fraud.
Codenamed ‘Operation Night Clone’, simultaneous operations were mounted in Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Poland and the USA involving 47 arrests and over 200 police officers. It is estimated that the group clocked more than €50 million in damages for EU citizens by ‘skimming’ their cards and emptying their bank accounts.
