‘Lost’ fisherman returns unscathed

A FISHERMAN reported lost at sea returned home a few hours later.

His boat developed a mechanical problem shortly after leaving Javea port, so docked at Valencia port, but he did not inform anybody. When he did not return his family contacted emergency services and searches began at 6.30pm.

He returned home at about 9pm without needing help from rescuers. This fisherman usually travels between Javea and Denia, but on this occasion had decided to make a longer journey.
