Benidorm is the most expensive coastal resort in the Costa Blanca for renting a holiday apartment during peak season, according to a study by fotocasa.es
While the average price for this type of accommodation in the Valencia Region is 2.5 per cent cheaper than this time last year, in Benidorm it increased by 2.7 per cent. The equivalent monthly rent per square metre is €7.38 in Benidorm, whereas the average for the Valencia Region is €6.31 per square metre.
Apart from Benidorm, only two other coastal towns in the region saw price increases for holiday lets: Guardamar del Segura (5.6 per cent more) and Torrevieja (1 per cent more). On the other end of the spectrum, the resort which saw the steepest drop in prices was El Campello, where they fell by 9.1 per cent.
