A Spanish engineer overseeing construction at a sewage plan was attacked by two masked men in Smolyn, southern Bulgaria, news agency BTA reports.
The attack took place outside of Alejandro Perez’s home where two masked men began beating him with batons. Once the attack was finished, the men left without robbing Perez. He sustained a fractured skull. It is still being investigated if these attacks are related to his “professional duties, as head of the project”, Cyril Hadzhihristev from Smolyn police department reportedly said..
