SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS: Met Office upgrades alerts for Spain TODAY

SPAIN’S state meteorological Agency (AEMET) has extended the areas under orange and yellow severe weather warnings for today (Wednesday).

There are warnings in place for high winds (up to storm force eight), snow, rain, coastal phenomena and even avalanches.

HIGH WINDS

Orange alerts: Almeria, Melilla and Mallorca

Yellow alerts: Granada, Jaen, Teruel, Albacete, Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona, Madrid, Castellon, Valencia, Menorca and  Murcia.

SNOW

Orange alerts:  Teruel, Barcelona, Girona and Lleida

Yellow alerts: Granada, Jaen, Huesca, Zaragoza, Albacete, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Avila, Burgos, Segovia, Soria, Madrid, Navarra, Castellon and  La Rioja.

RAIN

Yellow alerts: Teruel, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona, Navarra, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa

COASTAL PHENOMENA

Orange alerts: Almeria and Melilla

Yellow alerts: Cadiz, Granada, Malaga, Cantabria, Barcelona, Girona, Ceuta, A Coruna, Lugo, Pontevedra, Ibiza and Formentera, Mallorca, Menorca, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Asturias.

AVALANCHES

Yellow alerts: Huesca, Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Navarra.

Weather for Spain dose not look very good at the moment sounds like they have a had lots of bad storms in Spain it self which does not do very good at all
