POLICE have seized almost 10,000 counterfeit 'Harry Potter' products in a raid on toy store in Spain.

The goods have a market value of more than €305,000 euros according to the police.

Most of the items seized related to fake toys and costumes from the Harry Potter franchise but Disney and Warner Bros. items were found too.

A total of 9,592 products were confiscated by the Guardia Civil and a 38-year-old Spanish man is being investigated.

The eight Harry Potter films are the third highest-grossing film series of all time as of February 2018.

In 2016, the total value of the Harry Potter franchise was estimated at $25 billion, making Harry Potter one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.
