Donald Trump: Second Scottish independence referendum would be ‘crazy’

MILLIONAIRE US presidential candidate Donald Trump has spoken out on Scottish independence, saying that the British government made a mistake in not clearly ruling out a second referendum on the issue.

Trump was speaking to the Aberdeen Press and Journal newspaper, where he owns a golf course, of the possibility of a second vote on independence, and called the idea ‘crazy’: “I don’t know how they can do that – go through all that again. I’ve never heard of a thing like that.”

He added that measures should have been taken to ensure the 2014 referendum was a one-off for now: “You would’ve thought that Cameron, or whoever was planning it, would’ve said ‘we’ll do this now but if we win you can’t do it for another 50 years’.”

He went on to say that he hadn’t been keen to speak on the question of Scottish independence, but since he had been asked, he was opposed to it.

Trump has previously been accused of interfering in Scottish politics, when he attempted to stop an offshore windfarm being built off the coast a few miles from his golf resort project.

Never heard of such a thing as second referenda! He really is a dumbo. Quebec did it on independence. Ireland did it on other matters. That's off the top of my head without thinking about other ones. What would be downright stooopid would be to have this clown as President of the US. And let's remember that when he plays the patriotic card that he was a Draft Dodger.
