DAVID GUETTA put on an amazing show at Mallorca Rocks on Wednesday night.

Following the unexpected cancellation of the show the French house DJ and music producer was supposed to play last Saturday at Son Fusteret (Mallorca) in front of 12,000 people, the artist decided to make it up to his disappointed fans by playing a last-minute concert at Mallorca Rocks. However, given the size of the venue, only 2,800 people could attend last night’s show.

Fans holding tickets for the cancelled show could swap them for new tickets for the make-up concert at the Mallorca Rocks hotel between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday. They only had to present the original ticket or the purchase receipt.

“I have no idea what happened on Saturday. I was about to board the plane to come here when they told me the show had been cancelled,” said Guetta minutes before taking the stage last night. “I feel I was ripped off and am very sad for my fans,” he added.

The French DJ said he wanted to give something back to his faithful followers and hopes they will get their money back. Guetta thanked Mallorca Rocks and Andy McKay, one of the organisers, for the enormous effort they made to put on the make-up show on such short notice. “Thanks for doing me such a big favour. It was a last-minute decision and we did not have time to find a bigger venue,” said the DJ.

The Association of Balearic Consumers (FACUA) has reportedly lodged a complaint against the XLR Music for the cancelled show. The company has not made any comments as of yet explaining the reason why the original concert was cancelled.
