Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona is reported to have fled her rented home today (Friday) after her ex-partner, rugby play George Kay was detained in the UK under the Mental Health Act.

Police received calls Wednesday evening at around 6pm, at least one from a terrified female motorist, that a male was running in the streets between moving traffic shouting that someone was trying to kill him and acting in an agitated manner.

Responding to the calls police attended the star's £3,500 (€4,380) per-month five bedroom rented house in Chinnor, Oxon where they found Kay screaming that someone was going to kill him, wearing only a dressing gown.
Kay was described as being in a very agitated manner but was overpowered and restrained by officers from Thames Valley Police where he was detained under the mental health act. Kay was seen by medical professionals at the Radcliffe Hospital, Oxon.
Katona stood in the doorway of their property sobbing and watching whilst Kay was taken away. A source talking to The Sun said: “She was crying, in bits, none of the kids were around.”
They added that Kay was shouting: “Kerry, Kerry, they’re going to f***ing kill me. They are hitting me with the hammer. Why are you letting them do this?
“Kerry, Kerry, open the gate, please, love …. Call me a f***ing ambulance.”
Thames Valley Police have confirmed the incident and that a 34-year-old male was detained under the Mental Health Act. Confirming he was later discharged. TVP went on to say: “There will be no further police action in this matter.”
