Peaches Geldof has been labelled a 'hypocrite' and criticised for giving parenting guidance while she wasaddicted to heroin.

A fierydispute started on the website mumsnet debated the death of the 25-year-old in the aftermath of her inquest yesterday, Wednesday, with many parents bashing Bob Geldof’s late daughter.

It has been revealed the mum-of-two hid heroin and syringes in her home as she tried to cover up her addiction. On top of this, when the model died her baby, Phaedra, was alone for 17 hours beside his mum’s body.

Peaches was a huge promoter of attachment parenting,. The method is based on the idea that ‘sensitive and emotionally available’ mothers create a happier, healthier child.

Her advice included sleeping with your babies and having lots of skin to skin contact with your child.

A user blasted, “Seems like the reality was the exact opposite of how she portrayed herself.”

One parent said: “Very sad. But it was rather strange on mn (mumsnet) where posters were extolling her virtues as a great mum after she died. And saying they were going to live their lives like Peaches etc.

“She died of drugs and was found with her baby with her who had been unattended until she was found. Unfortunately she was not a good parent. Good parents don’t take heroin whilst looking after their kids.”

Some users stuck up for Peaches and saw the tragedy in her addiction. One user wrote, “I don’t care what she did and didn’t take. She was a young beautiful woman and it's tragic. I also don’t have any doubts she loved her children. I’m so sad for them and for her. She had her life ahead of her.”
