October 9 last year saw the introduction of a new Royal Decree for solar electricity installations here in Spain.  As a result of a huge increase in the number of enquiries, Solar in Spain will be holding a seminar to explain how the new law can benefit householders looking to reduce their electricity bills. Electricity bills have increased by an average of 20 per cent each year over the past five years and the cost is likely to increase by similar amounts over the next few years. 

The latest developments in solar hot water production

Solar in Spain will also be presenting the latest in solar energy technology, the ‘Solmate Thermodyn,’ a solar water heating panel that works 24 hours a day regardless of the weather AND it does not have to be installed on your roof. It can be placed on a balcony, on a wall or even inside a carport. Now solar energy is a viable option for apartments with no roof space!

Stay Warm in the Winter

Grants and Finance

Solar in Spain is one of the very few accredited companies that have been working for many years with the government’s energy department to obtain generous grants for their clients. Government grants are available for solar energy hot water, biomass boilers and off-grid solar electric systems that are certificated by the Spanish Government and installed by accredited installers. Solar in Spain has also introduced a financial package in association with a national bank offering 100 per cent - interest free credit.

The Introduction to Solar Energy Seminar on Thursday April 28 at the NH Hotel in San Pedro will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and is free to attend.
