Vince Heckman Fighting other peoples’ corners…

BOXING personality Vince Heckman and former Welterweight Champion John H Stracey made headlines at the MABS Spring Ball on Saturday April 25 as they auctioned boxing history, helping to raise a pocket-busting €5,000 in cash for MABS.
Vince is no stranger to fundraising and he is well known for his sweeping generosity toward the causes that touch his heart, generating £15,000 for various charities in the UK last year.
A heavyweight attitude
Billy’s Wish, the UK charity that strives to bring awareness of the horrors of knife crime to schools in the UK; Little Hiccups, a Leeds-based support group for children with special needs, now have a specially adapted buggy, thanks to some serious fundraising by Vince; and of course the Costa Blanca’s own Cancer Support charity MABS, have all benefited from Vince and his friends’ determination to fight other people’s corners…
It was through Little Hiccups that Vince met up with former Middleweight Brendan O’Connor, whose heavyweight attitude to getting cash into the coffers led to acquiring some wonderful boxing memorabilia that was eventually auctioned at MABS’ Spring Ball in Benidorm.
And last year, Vince and his son Rob tackled the London Royal Parks Marathon alongside inspirational Jamie Wood, who carried on his boxing training all through his treatment for Bone Cancer. They raised £7,000! And this year they are going for £10,000!
Thermo Casa
Vince is just as passionate about his working life. Vince builds houses – but not just any houses. The fabulous homes Vince offers are super eco-friendly, enabling owners to halve their gas bills in the winter and also their air-conditioning bills in the summer - and they can be handed over in turn-key condition within six months of town hall licensing.
Thermo Casa homes have all the great, energy-saving features you’d expect from a modern home, built with ICF (Insulated Concrete Formula) and with special windows that filter the sun - and customised frames that keep out the heat and the cold.
So if you feel passionate about the environment and want an eco-home, contact Vince on 965 741 748, email [email protected] or visit
Making it happen
Vince Heckman continues to make it happen for charities not only on the Costa Blanca but back in the UK, where his open-handed willingness to help generate cash for deserving causes where it is most needed keeps him ringside – and very, very busy!
