Border Choice is a trend leader in making your pool look its best

By Monday, 23 February 2015 09:47 0

SEVEN years on and Border Choice is leading trends with borders all over the globe, having now expanded with Border Choice Europe and Border Choice Italia.

The Cypriot-based company, run by Andy Carrington and Martin Haigh, specialises in providing an attractive solution to faded and past their best swimming pool decorative borders, has seen some big changes in the last few years. “We’ve practically reinvented the wheel,” say Andy and Martin. “It was no easy feat in the early days having gone back to the drawing board on various occasions.  It would have been easier to have used an outside source for the original product but knowing we were going to encounter problems such as borders coming unstuck, we decided to manufacture our own product by using extreme testing. And, yes, during the early stages we did come across some very tough hurdles.

“The borders have to cope with some extreme situations: heavy dosage of chemicals, strong sunlight, modern sun creams and various other factors that can cause malfunction, but we’ve tested and fitted thousands of different products and are proud to say we have now produced a product that we can be proud of.

“Shark Force has been specially developed to cope with the extremities of living in a interchanging environment and is produced in our British based factory. We now have our own design teams based in various countries, including Andreas in Italy, who has designed some of the borders in the Designer Range and also runs Border Choice Italia, along with Paul and Guido who look after France, Belgium and Germany with Border Choice Europe.

“We have over the years helped various customers in Spain make their pools look like new but would like to be able to offer our services to more people in the Spanish community. We enjoy talking to customers and hearing of the various problems that they have encountered and how happy they are with the solution that Border Choice gave them. Over the years many of these customers have become our friends, promoting our products.”

So where next? “We seem to be getting known more and more each year and keep introducing new ideas like the Empire Range to keep our new customers interested and we also have some old customers coming back to refresh their old borders with a new design. It makes sense; why replace the liner when you can just refresh the border and save money?

“The product’s very easy to order online and you’ll save 20 per cent by doing this. There’s a contact page if you have any questions about measuring and there’s even a film on the website to show how to check your measurements are correct.

“We’ve got one of the largest collections of pool border designs in the world so plenty to choose from.”
