Aztec Hair Academy and Spikes Salon: inspiring and creating beauty

By Thursday, 02 October 2014 12:57 0

AZTEC HAIR ACADEMY and Spikes Beauty Salon are the perfect complementary businesses.

They are the result of two partners working in tandem to provide both courses and a holistic beauty salon service, all in their new premises in Mijas Costa.

Their diverse, enthusiastic and experienced team makes it all possible.

Helen Brady, Head of the Academy said: “I qualified in England when I was 15 and at 21 I had my own salon. When I arrived in Spain in 2001, I realised that there was scope for training here, so we started offering a BTEC international qualification.

She explained: “Our courses are taught in English because our students are assessed in English. However, we welcome students of all nationalities.

The Academy offers a range of courses and qualifications to suit all needs. “Level 2 graduates can work as junior stylists. In Level 3 we teach advanced colouring, hair extensions etc... All students complete a placement in a salon. Courses tailored to students needs are available, such as refresher courses or short courses including acrylic nails, facials or pedicures.

“At the Academy, students benefit from a personalised approach. Our ratio is of five students per teacher,” Helen Brady explained. “Our results speak for themselves - 95 per cent of graduates find work soon. We have graduates working in various parts of the world and across many sectors such as the hotel and cruise industries.

For those interested in starting the Level 2 qualification this year, Aztec Hair Academy offers a 20 per cent discount on their enrolment.

After three years in Spikes Hair and Beauty Salon, Helen and Becky have worked hard building up their business and are continuing to expand.

They offer all the popular hair and beauty services and now have as well as the normal beauty treatments, facials, massage, spray tan and eyelash extensions.

Also available are, by appointment only: wedding packages, pamper parties for children and gift vouchers.

Phone Spikes Hair and Beauty salon for an appointment on 952 935 297.
