PILAR MARTINEZ Podiatric Clinic provides the best diagnosis and treatment in the care of feet.

Pilar has been a trained chiropodist for eight years after studying podiatry in San Juan, Alicante after branching out from her initial career choice of nursing.

But, realising feet are her passion, she has since retrained and opened her own clinic in El Campello as well as attending clinics in the Costa Blanca South and around the region working for the Casa Verde care homes, caring for residents.

Pilar is clearly passionate about her work admitting she likes “helping people and sorting out their problems.” With her relaxed and friendly persona, clients are put at ease no matter what the issue or problem.

The El Campello clinic is equipped with the latest technology and the most modern instruments and they have implemented the latest developments in the industry to provide the best diagnosis and treatment from the removal of corns and calluses, sports podiatry to the care of children’s feet to correct and prevent possible deformities.

They also carry out topography analysis of foot lesions by ultrasound using the Doppler, a non-invasive diagnostic method with which it is possible to assess the arterial and venous circulatory status of the foot.

Within the field of chiropody, prevention is also an important part which Pilar admits her British clients are very good at, being aware of the importance of foot care and going regularly for maintenance to prevent future problems such as ingrown toenails, bunions and corns: “I work a lot with diabetic patients as foot care is very important for those with diabetes.”

Pilar always welcomes new clients and offers a special massage at a client’s first appointment which costs just €20.
