Pencil a note in your diary for Sunday, June 8, when one of Spain's best known restaurateurs, Sandro Morelli is hosting what could possibly be termed as the charity function of the year.

Villa Tiberio is the location for this year’s Children with Cancer UK fundraiser.

Italian born Sandro came to Marbella from London, bringing with him a wealth of experience from working at the Ritz and Cavendish Hotels and going on to open two legendary restaurants, Barbarella I and II, watering holes for the glitterati of the time.

He is now the proud owner of Villa Tiberio, arguably one of the best Italian restaurants outside Italy, nestling inside incredible gardens - which have won several highly coveted awards - and has played host to the late Prince Rainier of Monaco, Sean Connery and Charlton Heston. The walls are covered with pictures of celebrities who have enjoyed the hospitality of this heavenly location.

However, wealth does not curry favour with this supremely kind man: “Kindness, generosity and honesty are the things that I look for when I meet people. God gave me a wonderful life; I don’t have to be impressed with status and money”.

“The world has forgotten what is important, children, they are our future. How can we spend millions on nuclear warheads, when there are millions of children dying for lack of food and water? Children with Cancer suffer terribly; they do not understand what is happening to them”.

Sandro continues to put his words into action and is opening the doors to Villa Tiberio for the Children with Cancer UK charity which works very closely with London’s Great Ormond Street hospital.

The evening will be hosted by actor Neil Roberts from Holby City and Beverly Hills 90210, who will be introducing a host of entertainers who have agreed to make an appearance for this incredible cause.

Tickets are selling fast, to make sure you don’t miss out contact [email protected], or call Villa Tiberio direct on 952 771 799
