SPANISH bullfighter Cayetano Rivera has suffered a severe goring in the left thigh during a Zaragoza  bullfight in Spain’s Aragon region.

Despite the goring, and with his left leg dripping with blood, the 40-year-old torero completed the fight in front of a shocked crowd before leaving the ring.

After initially being attended to at the on-site medical centre he was rushed to hospital.

Updating on his condition Dr. Valcarrere, the bullfighter’s doctor, said, “He suffered blood loss from three wounds from the bull. An upper one of 6cm that reaches the pubis, a posterior one of 10cm that tears the fibres of the adductor muscles and a 20cm lower one that detaches the fibres of the quadriceps.”

Cayetano famously met Giorgio Armani in Valencia in 2006 and the Italian designer proposed to design a 'suit of lights' for Cayetano to wear in the bullfights of the world famous 'feria goyesca' celebrating the first matador, Pedro Romero, in his - and Cayetano's - hometown of Ronda.

Cayetano has also represented the men's luxury fashion house Loewe as brand ambassador.

In 2007 Rivera was on the cover of Vogue with to Penélope Cruz for an editorial titled 'Made in Spain' shot by Annie Leibovitz.
