Emergency service 112 and 061 phone operators strike

061 AND 112: Emergency call handler strikes 061 AND 112: Emergency call handler strikes 112 Andalucia

EMERGENCY call telephone operators for the 061 and 112 services in Andalucia are striking today and on key dates over the Christmas and New Year period.

The strike has been called by the Confederación General del Trabajo en Andalucía (CGT-A) but the union has promised the fulfilment of minimum services.

General Secretary Miguel Montenegro, said between 90 and 95% of regular service levels would be maintained.

Strikes are also scheduled for December 31 as well as January 1, 5 and 6 in a protest for improved working conditions.
