A TEENAGE girl reportedly bit a police officer before proceeding to headbutt the floor after authorites attempted to return her to a juvenile detention centre.

The 16-year-old escaped the centre in Cadiz and had returned to her home in Malaga, when her father contacted the police.

Once the teenager realised she was going to be taken back, she began smashing windows, attacking her father and allegedly bit a police officer.

The girl was taken to hospital, along with the officer she bit, for injuries sustained while repeatedly headbutting the floor.
