The Spanish athlete is thrilled to have brought home the first medal for Spain at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Queralt Castellet from Barcelona walked away with the silver medal in the snowboard halfpipe test.

Via the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI) Castellet told Efe: “I am excited, I am very happy; it has been an incredible day, I have won the medal!”
“It has been incredible, I started a little bit bad and then all the nerves came, but I was able to get the round I wanted, in the second round; a round I have been working for a long, long time. Many years. I’m very happy.”
This is the athlete’s fifth of games. 32-year-old Castellet was born in Sabadell.
