Pause for Thought

OVER the last couple of weeks, our churches on the Costa Almeria and Costa Calida have been celebrating Harvest festival. No doubt churches all across Europe have been doing the same.

What a wonderful time of year this is, the days are slightly cooler, the tourist rush is almost over and things have started to calm down.

The slower pace that we all enjoy is here again.

At this time of year, we have a chance to reflect on God’s generosity and give thanks for His creation. When God created the World, man and all creatures, He blessed it and said to them, “be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it.”

Sadly, man has misused the gifts that God gave us, the World which was so generously given is in danger of disappearing due to man’s greed.

Do we really want to look out of our windows and not be able to see the animals and birds that give us so much pleasure?

Our World is a gift from God. It’s not too late to take action.

With prayer and God’s grace it is not too late to turn things around.
