A 4.1 magnitude earthquake has struck Pruna in Sevilla.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale has been registered tonight, Tuesday, October 19, with its epicentre to the northwest of the Sevillian town of Pruna, see map below.

There has so far been no reports of personal or material damage, according to Emergencias 112 Andalucía, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Board.

The National Geographic Institute (IGN) located the center of the earthquake, which occurred at 7:43 p.m., at a depth of one kilometre and which caused at least five calls to 112 from residents who felt the tremors in their homes from the Sevilla capital itself, Pruna, Coripe, Villanueva de San Juan and from Olvera, in Cádiz.

A European emergency phone centre contacted the border emergency services both in Cádiz and in the Sierra Sur de Sevilla and none of them have said for the moment that there is any evidence of damage.
