Deadpool actor reveals he’s taking a break from the movies.

Many fans have been eagerly awaiting the Deadpool 3 movie. The sequel may be some time now though as Ryan Reynolds has made a new announcement. Ryan is looking to take “a little sabbatical”.

Ryan has just wrapped up on his latest film, Spirited. Spirited is “a musical project based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.”

Ryan took to Instagram to make the revelation. He feels now is the perfect time for a break. Ryan said: “That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago.

“Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer…

“Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.

“These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”

The timeline for Deadpool 3 is uncertain now. Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios commented earlier in the year that progress was underway on the script.

He previously commented on the forthcoming movie and said: “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now,”

“It’s exciting for it to have begun… [Deadpool is a] very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature.”
