Robert Lewandowski linked with Man City move

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski linked with a move to Man City

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is being tipped for a summer move to Premier League champions, Manchester City. This news comes from the mouth of a reliable source, his agent, Pini Zahavi.

Pep Guardiola’s side was linked with a move for the prolific 33-year-old Polish international striker this summer when City were in the market to sign a new frontman. He has already voiced his desire to leave the Bundesliga champs, to take on a new challenge while he has a few years left in his career.

Speaking to German publication Sport Bild, Zahavi allegedly told them that the blue half of Manchester could be a ‘possible destination’ for his client. Having missed out on Harry Kane this summer, the thought of acquiring a striker with such a reputation is a mouthwatering prospect for the City bosses.

City could face stiff competition from Chelsea

They are bound to face competition from Stamford Bridge with Chelsea rumoured to have made enquiries for Lewandowski this summer as well. Eventually, they settled on bringing Romelu Lukaku back to the club.

With a tally of 48 goals from 40 matches in all competitions last season, winning him the prestigious European Golden Shoe. In the previous season he netter 41 times from 29 matches. The big Polish hitman, even at 33, is still a hot property for any club that wants a striker who is guaranteed to deliver. Already this season he has scored 13 goals in ten games.

Lewandowski told Bild, “I’m in good shape physically and have the right mentality. I can play for many more years, I’m sure at least four more years. And then I will see, maybe I can raise the bar even higher. This summer I had the best results in my career. If I was 27 a year ago, I am now either 25 or 26. My stats are better than ever”, as reported by thesun.co.uk.
