As it reached its 20th anniversary, Nokia has decided to bring back the ‘almost indestructible’ 6310 mobile phone. Although the specs have been upgraded, the ‘classic silhouette’ remains. The display has been upgraded in size from a 1.8-inch screen but only by one more inch. This should still be enough to get as many rounds as possible of everyone’s favourite original mobile game, Snake. The classic distraction tool will come pre-installed on the handset. For those that love to play a lot, they’ll be happy to know the battery on this model can last ‘for weeks’. The Nokia 6310 handset was first launched in 2001. It had a minor upgrade the next year before being discontinued in 2005. With the current boom for all things ‘Noughties’, the new version should be another big success. The new model is £59.99 on the Nokia website, and this time around comes in three colours, black, yellow and dark green. Adam Ferguson, Head of Product Marketing at HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, told ladbible: “They don’t make them like they used to is a phrase we’ve disowned. We still bring that signature build quality to all of our devices. “We recently launched the new Nokia XR20, a life-proof smartphone that in my eyes, is a modern-day Nokia 3310 in a smartphone and now the Nokia 6310 is back and better than ever. “For all feature phone lovers, it’s the original and iconic model and whilst its 2.8-inch curved window screen may be new, it still retains its familiar design and functionality.”
