Tragedy as lifeless body of a minor discovered in the Peñiscola collapse in Spain.

Sadly, on the morning of Thursday, August 26, the body of lifeless minor was discovered at 7:43 AM. The body was discovered in the rubble of the building which had collapsed on Wednesday afternoon in Peñiscola, according to the Emergency Services of the Valencian Community.

A rescue mission is underway to help others who have been caught up in the shocking collapse. Three people were feared missing after the incident and the minor is the second person to have been recovered from the rubble.

The first person recovered from the rubble was a man and he was amazingly found alive last night at around midnight. The third person thought to be missing is still being looked for by rescue workers. A psycho-social team has been mobilised by the emergency services to help the family of the deceased minor.

Early on Thursday morning rescue workers were able to recover one of the three people who had been trapped in the building collapse. The man had been located under the rubble and surprisingly was conscious. He had been able to communicate with rescue workers too. Firefighters from Castellon were able to pull the man from the rubble shortly after midnight. He was rushed to an ambulance for treatment, as reported La Voz de Almeria.

As reported both municipal sources and the 112 GVA, it is thought that there could be two more people who are still missing in the rubble. At the current point in time it is not known why the three-storey building collapsed.
