ROCK returns as Red Baron land at Estepona Bullring on September 3 before they take off for a number of American dates.
Barón Rojo (Red Baron) were ranked number 18 on Rolling Stone’s “50 Greatest Spanish rock bands” list in 2017 and have been together in one form or other since the 1980s.
The band is led by brothers Carlos and Armando de Castro, who took the name Barón Rojo in homage to First World War German flying ace Manfred von Richthofen and their 1981 song Barón Rojo is about him.
The Estepona Bullring played host to Deep Purple in 2008 and since then it has hosted two sets of tribute rock concerts put on by local promoter and former singer with Deeper Purple Ian Grant of Pink Purple Productions.
Tickets for the Baron Rojo show which starts at 10pm cost €25 plus booking fee and can be purchased at https://conciertos.club/malaga/locales/plaza-de-toros-de-estepona which gives also gives details of three Indie concerts taking place at the same venue during August.
Bands playing are all Spanish and include Dorian, Maren, Elefantes and La Habitación Roja.
