Torrevieja while you were sleeping arrest. A 20-year-old Ukrainian man has been arrested in Spain’s Murcia for allegedly carrying out a series home robberies using force while people were sleeping in their homes at night. The Guardia civil have managed to arrest the man in Murcia, and he has been sent to prison.
The Guardia civil officers carried out and investigation to find out the identity of the young man who had been stealing from homes in Alicante since late July. The burglar was extremely bold and one elderly woman woke to discover that he was crouched at the end of her bed. The woman thought that the person at the end of her bed was her son at first, but as he attempted to steal her mobile phone it lit up and showed his face.
The robber quickly exited the room and jumped from a low balcony but as he left the property he shot the elderly woman a smile.
As reported Diario de Almeria, “Thanks to the descriptions provided by the victims, together with the various steps taken, it was possible to determine the identity of this individual. A 20 year old young man who had previously been arrested for other similar acts in Torrevieja, and from whom several stolen objects were seized during the entry and search of the house where he lived”.
The man was arrested in Murcia and allegedly carried out five burglaries where people were in the buildings and one further crime of burglary in a public establishment. The Guardia civil in Torrevieja led the investigation into the robberies.
