Nine towns in Almeria already exceed the 1,000 coronavirus rate, although only one town has over 5000 inhabitants.
Almeria has seen nine municipalities exceed the 1000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days this weekend, but only one of those has over 5000 inhabitants and this is Olula del Rio. This means at the moment only Olula del Rio could be thrown into night-time curfew on Wednesday, if the rate remains at this level.
On Saturday, Olula del Rio had a rate of just over 1000. This was recorded after 66 coronavirus infections occurred in the last 14 days. The possibility of Almeria’s municipalities with over 5000 inhabitants heading into curfew in the next few days is increasing.
As reported La Voz de Almeria, “The one that seems to be in the worst situation is Huercal de Almeria, with a rate of 904.2, where 162 positives have been confirmed in 14 days and 79 in the last week. Further away from the 1,000 rate but with worrying data is the capital, with an incidence of 762.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and 1,535 positives in two weeks.”
Carboneras also has a high level at over 700 and Roquetas de Mar also comes in with a rate of over 600.
Other towns with less than 5000 inhabitants would not be hit by the Junta de Andalucia’s curfew rule. Municipalities already over the 1000 rate include Alhabia, Almocita and llar to name just a few, but they have less than 5000 inhabitants.
Over 50 towns in the province are said to be at extreme risk for Covid as they have a rate coming in at over 250.

an insubstantial and propagandistic message which says nothing about the actually sick or deaths (which certainly do not exist)
Made only to spread fear (of nothing)
