Lifeless body of elderly man discovered lying at the roadside in Spain’s Navarra.

Sadly, the lifeless body of an 80-year-old man was discovered on Saturday August 7, at around 11:40 am. The shocking discovery was made at the side of the NA-140 road, at kilometre point 29, in Navarra’s Jaurrieta.

Emergency medical services rushed to the scene from Salazar but sadly when they arrived, they were only able to confirm that the man had died. According to sources from the Government of Navarra, the eighty-year-old man was suffering from a cranioencephalic trauma. Although at this moment the actual cause of death has not been confirmed.

According to government sources the body had no other injuries on it that could point to the elderly man having been run over. An investigation is in progress, and is being carried out by the Guardia civil, as reported 20 minutes.

In other Spanish news, nursing home outbreak claims three lives in Almeria, and eight more people are in hospital.

Sadly, the coronavirus has hit at La Purisima nursing home in Spain’s Almeria. The nursing home is only metres from the Virgin del Mar hospital and is located on Mami de La Cañada road. This week the nursing home has been returned to grade 1 due to an outbreak of the potentially deadly coronavirus. First the virus hit 42 residents and workers at the nursing home even with the rapid intervention of health authorities. The number of people affected has now grown and stands at 57 people. Sadly, three people have died according to the Regional Ministry of Health and Families as reported Diario de Almeria.

Tragically in the last few hours three people have died and a further eight people are still in hospital.
